Hi Martina,
AbiWord has "text folding" rather than an outline mode.
To use it, open the "bullets and numbering"
ten click on the "Text Folding". Place the caret on the list of
interest and choose hide below level 1. All text contained within that
list but not including that list will be hidden. If you use a numbered
heading system you can systematically hide text that you're not
interested in this way and restore it when you're ready.
I would be very interested to know how useful you find this feature. I
thought it would be easier to use than MSWord "outline mode" which I
never actually understood.
