I have found that this is the only thing that stops me from switching over
to Linux on my client PC. To get the company to switch to CVS is not an
option I am afraid.
So I wanted to suggest to talanted abi programmers that one of the next
projects for abi might be a Visual Sorcesafe compatible client to the server
part of VSS. This would allow me, and I am sure many many other Home-Linux
users to switch to Linux att work as well.
I am not sure, but it seams as a quite easy task, if you know how sourcesafe
works, I dont, and I could not start this project, but I am sure others can.
Is this hard to do ? I imagine that it is the server part of a VCS that is
the toughest part.
Since AbiSourceSafe would also be ported to NT, it would shorten MS:s income
some, and of cource give all VSS users a much smaller and faster client
program.
I dont suggest that the Abiword involved People should split their
attention, but others could perhaps take on this task ?
