To my beloved AbiUsers (a brief, generic statement about bug filing)

    "If in doubt, file it."

    What do I mean?
We prefer that you file against the most current version(s) possible,
but if your version is just a little out of date and you cant update
right now, go ahead and file it. You can always update it later. The
worst that can happen is we think that it's been fixed in a later
version and tell you so. Better to have the possible bug on record than
for it to go on undiscovered and untreated.
We prefer that you search for prior bug reports that may be the same bug
as yours and add to those if applicable rather than file duplicate bug
reports, but if in doubt, file it. The worst that can happen is we mark
it a dup and add your information to the older entry. Better to have
the possible bug on record twice than for it to be overlooked entirely.
We prefer that you help us by localizing test cases to the smallest
amount of steps and the most minimal of example documents possible, but
if you don't have the time right now, or you don't know how to localize
the bug, file it. The worst that can happen is that we spend a little
time trying to differentiate your bug, or some qa helper comes along
later and comments with a localized variant of the test case, or a
developer gets upset and throws things (just kidding!). Better to have
an overly verbose bug on record than to just let it slip through the
    cracks.
And as always, no matter how many times we developers and qa screeners
get on your case about proper bug filing etiquette, or how picky about
the bug reports we seem to be, we are VERY grateful for your
contribution, and we would much rather have your imperfect bug reports
than no reports at all. To take from Zen, we're torn between saying
    "D'oh!" and "Ooh, users!"

    Best regards
    -MG
