Dont thank me, thank Frank for answering the question, I just try and
encourage people to be as friendly and as welcoming as when I first joined
    in.

    > don't even post any issue I find on the dev list so that

The way I see it if you compile stuff you are not an ordinary user and
you probably should have posted to the developer list but there are some
developers subscribed to this list too and we try to always give
    some response.

The developers relentlessly say how much they want people to test
development versions. There are even binaries available for most unstable
releases which is much more than many volunteer run projects manage to do.

    > development versions or not. I don't really care either way-

You clearly care very much, but I can assure you that the developers
here almost always try to be friendly and helpful.
Keep in mind that written English is very impreciseI am sure Frank
intended to be amusing and lighthearted not sarcastic (and I expect he
will say so any minute now).

Try and focus on the good things, note how quickly he responded.

It belongs to all of us.

Stick around and I am sure you find out that the developers do try very
hard to help people out, on both the mailing lists, on IRC and in
    Bugzilla.

Dont go! stick around, more help is always welcome.
