Dom,
Please forgive me if I sounded critical or argumentative. It certainly was
not my intent. As a user, I appreciate the hard work you developers put
into this program and my anticipation for Release 1.0 is growing
geometrically.
I also realize that many features that may *seem* to me to be easy to
implement are not so easy. My point was not that you, or anyone else should
implement all the requested features; only that, in terms of allowing for
preferences, Abi should be as flexible as practicable and that *IF* allowing
a preference is easily accomplished, it should at least be considered. I
did not mean to imply that any given request was indeed easy to implement as
I'm sure I haven't a clue.
As far as .bak files is concerned, both you and Alan have caused me to see
my misuse of these files. You are both correct; there are other better ways
to do what I'm doing. Which brings me to another point for us users.
Perhaps as we continue to use Abi and find things we wish it would do
differently, we should first look to our own methods of use. Perhaps there
is a different, and better way of achieving the desired result without
requiring Abi to be recoded.
No offense or disrespect intended. Abi is a great program and getting
better and those of you who take the time to do the work are most
appreciated. Lest you think your task is thankless, allow me to say, with
gusto, THANK YOU!!!!
Virgil
