LOL :-) I guess it just takes somebody telling me something in a slightly
different way, for me to get it through my head...

I had an Xterminal that I hadn't bothered to configure for Abiword
yet. So, I followed your suggestion and simply copied the fonts directory
to that machine.

Worked like a champ.
