Subject: Tables in AbiWord?

Hello, everyone!
I'm new to this list. I stumbled across AbiWord last week, when a friend
suggested I find a less bloated word processing program than MS Word and
avoid Bill Gates' stranglehold on software. Found this on Netscape's
shareware page. It looks great -- small (tiny, in fact!), free, easy, and
reads Word files. Unfortunately, I make heavy use of the table feature in
Word, and AbiWord doesn't appear to support this. Since I need this for
work, I cannot give up MS Word until AbiWord handles tables. Any plans for
table functions in future releases? Any other suggestions?
