I have being trying to change the spelling dictionary in Abiword from American
English to British English.

I have copied the british.hash files from the ispell distribution into
the Abiword dictionary directory, and made the appropriate alterations
to the ~/.AbiSuite/Abiword.Profile file.

Abiword now unfortunately reports the following error when loading,
disabling spell checking altogether.

Illegal format hash table /usr/share/abisuite/dictionary/british.hash -
expected magic2 0x9602 got 0x35.

Any suggestions or comments on how the problem can be resolved.
