We barely need more than one English translation especially not for an
area as specific as the installer needed by word processing software.
Computing terminology should be mostly the same shouldn't it?
What are the specific differences between the current Catalan and the
proposed variant? Despite whatever regional differences you may have
can they be merged into a single version acceptable to both groups?
There are often cases where we need to ask Americans to "use instead of
utilize" so we can all get along and I really hope a similar solution
could be reached acceptable to all in this case.
If that really isn't possible then I think I can begin to understand how
this discussion has gotten very heated very quickly.
