Save Alternatives

I have found your very nice clean word processor for use on Linux. My
query is this --
will the ability to save back to Word 97 be available at a later date.
The ability to
import is the first step, but at the office I must keep my Word 97
copies up to date. Am i
missing anything? Thanks for your endeavors to give us a no-bloat yet
