It's possible and it shouldn't be too hard if you've done something
similar before, but it might require a bit of setup. In short,
AbiWord requires the Type 1 fonts it shipped to be available both
locally and through the X server. You'll need to get the remote
X servers (on the terminals) to have the fonts in their path.
You can do something like copy the contest of /usr/share/abisuite/fonts
(the .../fonts part of the installation) to somewhere on the
X server, if it has a disk, and do "xset fp+ /path/where/you/put/fonts".

If the clients have no disks or there are many of them, you
can setup a font server (on the machine where AbiWord is installed
would be good) and point the X servers at it for fonts. Something
like "xset fp+ unix/server.domain.com:port". Setting up xfs (or
your vendor's font server) should be covered by the manual pages.
