I'm only on 2.6.8 for linux, so I'm not sure if this is any use or
not. But, have you got it set on Print Layout in the View menu? The
double spacing won't show up unless you have. (I must admit, changing
the alignment sounds like a bug!)
How did you install 2.7 in Linux? I tried the tarball in Linux Mint 7,
which is based on Ubuntu Jaunty, and couldn't, due to missing
dependencies that I couldn't find in the repositories.
