Re: Can I run Linux Abiword under X11 on Mac?

I don't have time for a step-by-step (nor a Mac with me), but I can
point you in a couple directions that might be useful. I used both of
them at one point, and they worked well enough.

Fink: http://www.finkproject.org/
or
DarwinPorts: http://darwinports.com/

I preferred Fink, probably due to my background with Debian (rather than
FreeBSD or Gentoo).

Basically they are systems for compiling and installing GNU/Linux
software to run on OS X. Fink offers both pre-compiled binaries and
building from source. I think DarwinPorts only offers building from
source.

It's been a while since I've used either.

Also, like Hub said, there's been significant progress on the Mac port
in the current development branch of AbiWord (2.7.x). That might be a
good place to look also.
