Thank you very much for your advice.

We simply did not know that the latest version is 2.6.4.
We will consider employing Ver2.6.4.

By the way, Ver.2.6.4 uses the gnuts library for SSL,
which means it has an encryption function.

My concern is whether the encryption program is developed in the USA,
or created by your project based in Europe.
May I think that the encryption program is created by your project?

I would appreciate your idea.

Thank you.

Hello,
The abiword plugin "abicollab" employs the gnutls library for SSL
encryption from version 2.6.4 onwards. Why are you interesested in version
2.6.3? Version 2.6.4 has many important bugs fixed. If you are at all
concerned, the abicollab plugin need not be shipped with any version of
abiword you are interested in.

Best regards,

Martin Sevior

To the best of my knowledge, AbiWord does not include anything that
would be affected by US export control laws. The project is developed
by people both inside the USA and outside (largely the EU and
Australia). I don't know what you mean by "uses US technologies". It
certainly uses code that was developed by US citizens. It does not
contain any "encryption functions", unless you stretch its meaning to
include MD5 or CRC32 or something of that nature.
