When I attempt to compile AbiWord 2.6 I get the following errors:

/usr/lib/libbonoboui-2.so: undefined reference to `poptGetInvocationName@LIBPOPT_0'
/usr/lib/libgnome-2.so: undefined reference to `poptStrerror@LIBPOPT_0'
/usr/lib/libgnome-2.so: undefined reference to `poptHelpOptions@LIBPOPT_0'
/usr/lib/libgnome-2.so: undefined reference to `poptGetNextOpt@LIBPOPT_0'
/usr/lib/libgnome-2.so: undefined reference to `poptFreeContext@LIBPOPT_0'
/usr/lib/libgnome-2.so: undefined reference to `poptBadOption@LIBPOPT_0'
/usr/lib/libgnome-2.so: undefined reference to `poptGetContext@LIBPOPT_0'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[4]: *** [abiword] Error 1
make[3]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

I am using Fedora 8 with popt, libgnome, etc. installed from that distro.

How do I proceed from here, please.
