You may need to use "/usr/bin/firefox %s" for it to work correctly.
Also, my previous message assumes that you have few GNOME libraries
and programs installed.  If that's incorrect, see what "gconftool-2 -g
/desktop/gnome/url-handlers/http/command" reports.
