Help with Abiword Version 2.46

Hello,

Need some help with Abiword Version 2.46. I'm running XP SP 2 and for some
reason i goto open documents with extensions .wps or .rtf and any documents
that were written in another word processor with Abiword. When i do so i
get a password box that pops up. The files are NOT password protected ,,
why am i getting this and how do i fix? Thanks
