I know how to set a shortcut up to open in the folder I want. That's not
the problem

I'm writing a set of programs for my wife, which will let her do certain
tasks with a minimum of input. One of them is to print or edit her recipe
files. I have no difficulty getting Abiword to come up when called, but
nothing I've tried will allow it to default to the folder with the recipes
in it. I've tried your suggested method, of course, and Abiword dutifully
starts when requested, but the folder that is immediately accessible is
not the one I included in the instructions.

I'm running WIN2000, and my wife is using WIN98SE, but the command line
instructions don't work for either of them
