Dom and Ryan,
I removed the WordPerfect Plugin, and it got rid of some error messages,
however I am left with this one. Notice the libgsf error is gone.
>> abiword --to=/tmp/foo.pdf /tmp/bar.doc
** (abiword:14913): WARNING **: failed request with status 1030
Aborted
I tried 5 different .doc's, all produce the same thing - this error and
a zero length PDF.
Thank for the help,
Scott

Is this error is happening only with one particular file, or with any
word file?
If it's any word file, it looks like perhaps there's a problem in wv or
libgsf.
