You do not need to download the application first - the manual can be
seen here: http://www.abisource.com/help/en-US/
However, since AbiWord is free and a relatively small download, it may
be easier to just give it a shot and experiment.
The manual is slightly out of date and slightly incomplete, but it
should still be useful.
