To be perfectly candid I have never used the Abiword autopackage. My
GNU/Linux system is Debian (www.debian.org) and, as such, I simply use
the "apt-get" command from the terminal or "Synaptic" (GUI) front end
for apt-get.
Apt-get does it all, dependencies, plugins, the whole nine yards. I,
for one, have never had a problem.
