Blank ruler cursor - Resizing Windows

Greetings All and Great Abi developers!

Using AbiWord 2.3.99 on OS 10.3.9 Mac.

A small white square appears as the cursor when you move the ruler
marker slide "arrows" and when you have multi-colored text.

The print window resizing fonts when you resize the window is a
REALLY NEAT feature! (and unique to AbiWord as far as I know!). Now,
is there a mode in which you can resize the window without altering
the font size? In other words, I'd like to resize the window
independent of the print page itself without influencing the page or
text at all.

On a related issue: if you import a RTF document with an image and
text beneath it then resize the window smaller than the print page,
the text breaks into paragraph strips which slide up over the image
because the image itself doesn't resize in kind.

At least for me me, importing NeoOffice .sxw files only produces
files with scrambled gibberish characters and any files with an image
crashes AbiWord with a spinning pinwheel.

I'm trying to find what type of document caused it, but twice I
imported documents with multiple paragraph ruler settings (like a
screenplay) and AbiWord stripped out all ruler settings and
formatting and reduces such documents to just plain text. I'll alert
you to my findings. On this note: Some Word processors like Nisus
import and format screenplay-type multi-paragraph ruler setting
documents well, but strip all their style links clean! Ultra cool
feature request: The ability to "re-link" all paragraphs with
identical ruler settings with imported documents in this situation.

Cherry on top feature request: A Mariner Write importer.

Keep up the fantastic work!

James Greenidge
