AW: Help on Spell-Checking

First of all, Thanks to all of you for your hints.

My problem was that I had no template file because there is no proper
installation under MacOSX, just a drag and drop.
It would be great, for new users, to have several templates included in the
.dmg file and a quick-startup guide.
All default values are fine now : page size, spell-check language, margins,
font, etc...

Nevertheless, I encounter some unstability in AbiWord. When I write back a
document, it sometimes happens that the page size reverts to a stupid
setting (not even a standard dimension!). The only way to set it correct
again is to open the file in a text editor and change it as we do for
templates. Excellent thing that the files are pure ascii !
I have tried to use AbiWord 2.4.0 and 2.4.1 but I very quickly returned to
2.2. I get really ugly displays and prints in 2.4.x, the characters are
collapsing or very far away from each other, making the text hardly
readable.

Has anyonelse come across these problems ?

AbiWord should use your AppleSpell dictionaries and the french
dictionaries should not be necessary. You can use "Set Language" under
the Tools menu with your document selected in order to set it for French
spell checking.

You will need to edit your normal.abt - search the list archives for
information how to do this. I do not use a Mac, so I do not know where
the normal.abt should be placed on that system.

Hope this helps!
