I've installed PDFCreator (0.8.0) as default with the same results as
described in my original post (delayed rendering until I click on numbered
list). So it doesn't matter whether the printer is virtual or my ancient
Epson L1000. But I've had this experience only with Windows 98SE, not with
regular Windows 98, Me, or XP. I think I should do more tinkering before
filing the bug.
