Just open your AbiWord program, select "Check Version" from the help
menu, and look in the browser page that loads. If a new release with
the fix has been released, the page will alert you of this and let you
download the new version. It is advised to uninstall the old version
before installing the new one. This should not cause the loss of
settings in most cases.
If you cannot open your old version or "Check Version" does not work,
simply uninstall AbiWord, then visit www.abisource.com and click on
Download to reach the download page, where you can get the latest
version to install.
These instructions assume you are using Windows. If you are not, you
will need to update the package through your distribution, and if no
update exists, check the AbiSource site for a pre-built package, or, if
there is none, the source code.
