From below, it looks like a glib/gsf based plugin related
problem. Prior to 2.0.3 they were in a separate installer,
which may be why prior versions work but 2.0.3 fails; however
the glib base DLLs were also updated for the 2.0.3+ releases,
so that may be or related to the cause. Unfortunately I
don't have Win98 installed any longer to test, but maybe
next week I will have time to install it for testing
purposes...
As I haven't added add/remove support to the plugin
installer [its still experimental in the main installer,
so requires a command line switch to activate]
please try removing the following files (if they exist)
and see if it helps:
(The Glib runtime)
D:\AbiSuite2\AbiWord\abi\
D:\AbiSuite2\AbiWord\abi\
D:\AbiSuite2\AbiWord\abi\
(The plugins that require the above DLLs)

C:\AbiSource\libs\libgsf-1.8.1 is where libgsf was built
at on my system and can be ignored, but useful to report
as the the version, file, and line number may help in tracking
down the problem. It might even be fixed in a newer libgsf
or glib release?

(2.0.5 [for Win32] should be available on souceforge soon, would
probably be there already but I feel asleep at my keyboard last
night before making them available to our release engineer :)
