Do you mean you updated Microsoft Word?
Abiword does want to be compatible with older versions of Microsoft Word
as much as possible and if the latest version of Abiword which is 2.0.4 is
producing documents that older versions of Microsoft Word cannot
understand then we would very much appreciate your help.
The last thing Abiword wants to do is exclude people unless it is
completely unavoidable or give people reasons to upgrade to newer versions
of Micrsoft Word!
I should warn people that Microsoft file formats are very difficult to
work with and even when there is documentation like in the case of RTF
(Rich text format) the differences between versions can cause serious
problems. Sometimes Microsoft doesn't even get its own file formats
right, as anyone who has switched between different versions will know.
Please do help us out and attach some sample files to a report in Bugzilla
