Hi list -
Got an interesting font issue.
Maybe it's fixed in FC2 (I'm running test3, I can't install final yet)
>From time to time I purchase TTF fonts from www.myfonts.com - they have
a really nice policy of letting you download long after purchase, which
is nice - because off site backup is less important. Anyway - I'm having
a small issue with a font I purchased yesterday called Schreibmaschine -
it's a lovely monospace typewriter font, and was on sale, so I bit and
purchased.
The font works beautifully in AbiWord and prints as expected (LaserJet 4
via CUPS)
The font works beautifully in Epiphany when specified with the font tag.
The problem is when using it to create a PDF document - by choosing
"Create PDF Document" from the AbiWord print menu. The PDF document
screws up the font, and printing the PDF document screws up the font.
Here is the font properly displayed in AbiWord:

Here is the screwed up view of the font in Gnome PDF viewer (from
AbiWord):

Here is the PDF file generated by printing to PDF file:

I am curious as to wether or not anyone knows what is going on, and
wether or not the issue is with the font itself or with the
AbiWord/Gnome PDF generation.
Thanks for any suggestions.
I _will_ be upgrading to FC2 final ASAP to see if that fixes it - but I
have doubts that it will, I can't upgrade until another app I need that
compiled in FC2T3 but fails to compile in FC2 final is properly fixed by
the developers (it's fixed in their CVS but their CVS is active and not
always guaranteed to be good, and I don't want to try to patch the
differences myself since I don't understand that apps problem)
