    Hi Roman,

    I still suggest compiling with --enable-debug, and
    seeing what happens. Specifically, what line it fails
    on.

    It could be that we're widly and blindly trying to
    convert a string to a not-supported codepage. Or at
    least a codepage not supported by whatever iconv we're
    linked against.

    It's just a guess.
