installing the tar.gz

    I have to correct my yesterday's take on installing AbiWord on linux. I did not compile, I tried to install rpm packages, the difficulty of which made me install a 1.0.2 version that I got from http://www.usr-local-bin.org/

    So I try to compile 1.0.6, the stable version that Dom has recommended to use. After having extracted the tar.gz to the install directory I miss a configure file:

    I have configure.in and ~.ac, but no configure. Do I need at this point certain arguments to run configure? Or how should I proceed to start compilation?
