I'm guessing that abiword is trying anbd failing to use your old
Abiword.Profile (configuration files. Educated guess based on the error
messages).
Try (re)moving it. I would expect to find it at
~/.AbiSuite/Abiword.Profile
If that doesn't help ask again and I'll try to suggest something else.
I prefer to risk being wrong and give a prompt reply, hope that helps.
