attached mail follows:
ok, first, the font path is correct/added in xfs config file.
second, I am used the true-type fonts (followed the directions from
abiword site) and created the
*.u2g and *.afm files, as well as the fonts.dir and fonts.scale files.
However, I get the following error when trying to start abiword:
Abiword could not load the following font or fontset from the X Window
System display server:
[-*-helvetica-medium-r-*-*-*-100-*-*-*-*-*-*]
Then Abiword crashes (after diplaying that message about 10 times)
I did notice that there is nothing of that font form in the fonts.dir
file.
Is that the problem? If so, where do I get the font from?
Can abiword word be loaded without looking for that font(or using on in
fonts.dir)?
Also, the following error is spit out when run from an xterm:
Gdk-CRITICAL **: file gdkfont.c: line 357 (gdk_text_width): assertion
'font != NULL' failed.
Thanks
John Manko
