CVS Head works fine for me compiling under GCC 3.2 (RedHat 8 on X86). This sounds like a GCC issue and not our problem. I guess keep on using 2.95 if it works for you.

I built abiword cvs head for the last couple of days ending up a little
disappointed because it always crashed after i had typed about 5
characters ("test", "hello" or something like that)
Today I tried building with gcc-2.95 instead of gcc-3.2 and it works
    much much better!
So to say: it's plain great!
Sorry if this is known and I just missed it.
BTW: platform is YellowDog Linux 2.3

    All the best,
