François, you should post such questions to the user mailing list. I
    forwarded it for you.

    Jesper

    attached mail follows:

    Dear Jesper,

I've been interested in Abiword for a while and impressed by the work done
(thanks everyone involved for that). I have a Win machine and I'm happy to find now win32
    binaries.

But, I've also a Debian 2.0 PCC Linux machine. The debian link (GTK+) does not
work and replies with a can't read file.

I've download the source but the ./configure
crashes saying it can't find the zlib.h I have in the correct directory.

    So I'm lost and
woul like to know where to find tgz for the debian ppc linux I've or the solution for the can't
    find zlib.h message I've.

    Thanks for your help.

    Best Regards.

    François.
