Look - you ARE right, Dom ... but ...
Would it be impossible to package the libgal you need within Abiword?
I guess the other question is where is Abiword getting its instruction to
look for a specific version of libgal (rather than libgal.so.*)?
Is there really nothing the Abiword developers can do to avoid the nuisance?
I stopped trying to use Abiword because of the persistent libgal.so.(specific
number) problem.
Hmmm ... I am using KDE/FreeBSD now. Would Abiword install and work
flawlessly in that environment?
