Bogus document?

    Can somebody help me?  Last night I opened a document with AbiWord (99.2) and today when I tried to re-open it, I got the message "AbiWord cannot open C:/My Documents/"....".wpd.  It appears to be a bogus or invalid document."  The file still appears when I click on "file" , but . . .   Other documents open with no problem, but I didn't check them all. Is there any hope here?  Feedback appreciated.
