I'm not a docbook wizard, just learning it. I'm in the process of writing a
HOWTO document on something that is entirely unrelated to this thread, and
since that's the preferred format, that's what I'm learning to use. It seems
to be a decent standard, and I like the way I can generate other formats from
docbook.
I'm pushing really hard on a big software project of my own, with a hard
deadline of July 31 for release, so I don't have a lot of time to offer to
other projects right now. After I get this other project out the door, though,
I'd be glad to help with testing and refining AbiWord. I've just started using
it, but I'm very impressed with its potential so far.
Unfortunately, I'm not a C++ wizard, so I'd have a big learning curve to get
to where I could actually code for the AbiWord project. I'm not averse to
the idea of learning C++ better, and in fact would like to do so. There are
just so many other time demands. <sigh> If nothing else, though, perhaps I
can contribute user documentation since I do have some skill as a writer
and editor.
Kind regards,
Scott
