Byte order. There's tons of info on that if you like, go googling.
Please note that these are misnamed for PR reasons. If you use sparc or
sparc64 or parisc(64) or m68k or s390 those are bigendian (and should
get ppc version). If you use ia64 or alpha or arm (I forget which for
mips) that is littleendian (i386).
