    Hi,

    How do you start Abiword?

There are no instructions on the web page on how to start the program. The
tutorial on the web page is blank, and the FAQ doesn't cover this question.

There are no files in the distribution with names like "README" or
"GETTING_STARTED" that describe how to run it.

After the installation, I looked for something named "abiword" in /bin,
    /sbin, /usr/bin, /usr/sbin and /usr/lib. I looked all through all of the
    directories in the distribution.

I downloaded Abiword 1.0.2 and ran the commands just as your web page says,
including using gmake. My machine uses Redhat Linux 7.1. There seemed to be
    no errors during the make.

    K
