Hi Richard,
I'm sorry for your troubles. Basically our rpms track RedHat
and ximian gnome for the gnome builds (you need both to be sure the
rpms will install). The gtk builds have substantially fewer dependencies
and with luck should install out of the box on Mandrake 8.1.
Maybe someone who runs Mandrake 8.1 could help you out otherwise.
While Mandrake is a fine distro for use "out of the box", I've often many
troubles installing new stuff and developing with it.
None of the core developers run Mandrake so we need other volenteers to
help us out with Mandrake specific requests.
