Hello,
I'm trying to setup AbiWord to run on my linux system (it was rh6.2.. at
some point..). I can run the program correctly as root but it refuses to
execute properly when run as a normal user. This leads me to believe that
there is a file permission problem somewhere. Root was umask 002 when the
installation occured.
The following error messages are displayed:
[wesdean@up ~][05:52pm] $ abiword

I have to continually hit enter (or 'y' then enter) every time I press a
key in the program. No output is ever displayed.
However, as I said before, if I run the program as root, it works
perfectly.
In addition, I've also chmodded all of the files in /usr/local/share/AbiSuite
recursively to at least 644 for files and 755 for directories (and executables) but
that doesn't seem to solve the problem.
Also, the /usr/local/bin/[Aa]bi* files are all 755 permissions.
Does anybody know where my permissions may be off? Any suggestions
Wes
