Thank you, Anne, for the information.
I have tried it, but I can't get Truetype fonts installed in Abiword. When I
try to run AbiWord I get an error message that "AbiWord was not able to add
its fonts to the X font path". The script environment variable $ABISUITE_HOME
is set correctly. Removing the TrueType fonts from the AbiWord font folder
and putting the Type1 fonts back in, enables AbiWord to work correctly.
I have tried adding a TrueType line to the XF86Config file, and have also
tried madking it point to the Abiword fonts folder. Also I have tried what is
suggested in the FAQs: "Making Fonts Available To X", "Customising Fonts for
Unix in AbiWord", and "AbiWord: True Type Fonts in Linux" All with no success.
Having spent a day trying to get True Type fonts working with AbiWord and not
succeeding, I have run out of ideas to try.
Ttfadmin.sh has processed the fonts, it just seems that AbiWord can't find
them.
Please can someone kindly tell me exactly how to do it? I have read and
re-read the Help files and FAQs, but can't find out where I am going wrong.
I am using version 0.99.2, but have also tried using 0.99.1.
Many thanks
Keith
