    RE: GAL

    1) If you're using RPM as your package manager, you can always rpm
    --force or rpm --nodeps. This works just fine and won't hurt anything.
    2) You can always get the Ximian package of AbiWord (www.ximian.com)
    which is kept fairly recent
    3) You can always install the right version of GAL
    4) You can always build from source
