I'm having trouble getting Swedish spelling to work in AbiWord. When I
set the language to Swedish, it complains that it is unable to locate
the sv_SE dictionary. English spelling seems to work.
First, I tried following the instructions in the AbiWord FAQ, but they
turned out to be hard to follow. The FAQ says to replace the
'american.hash' in AbiSuite/dictionary with the file for my language.
Firstly, this seems wrong; shouldn't one be able to install multiple
languages. Also, it doesn't work. Placing the 'svenska.hash' file from
the abispell package in /dictionaries doesn't do anything. I tried
renaming it to 'swedish.hash' and sv_SE.hash.
Some experimenting revealed that my installation doesn't use the
american.hash in that dir at all; it is actually using
americanmed+.hash, in my ispell directory. I have Swedish Ispell
installed, and it's configured to use Swedish spelling as default.
Does anyone know how to get this working?
