I have discovered the following apparent bug (or perhaps, merely an
overlooked debugging assert) in AbiWord 0.9.4.1:

Start abiword from an xterm so that you see output from AbiWord. Do
not close the xterm. You'll need it.

Create a new document and enter a paragraph of justified text, six or more
lines long. Place the insertion point in the middle of the paragraph and
press the Enter key to break the paragraph into two. Press Enter again to
insert a blank line between the two new paragraphs.

Instead of moving the new second paragraph down, the following assert will
be displayed in your xterm:

**** (1) Assert ****
**** (1) eor <= pgb.getLength() at fl_BlockLayout.cpp:2609 ****
**** (1) Continue ? (y/n) [y] :

If you answer 'y' to this assert, execution continues normally. If the
user closes the xterm after starting AbiWord, though, or starts it from a
window manager, then to all appearances AbiWord will simply cease to
respond.
