Subject: Managing styles and sections

It occurs to me that there is one feature that would make style management
in AbiWord much easier: a "Define Style from Selection" command. It
should probably give two options:
1. Redefine an existing style, defaulting to the currently active
style, with the settings in use in the current selection, or if no
selection, then at the insertion point;
or 2. Create a new style using the settings of the current selection or
at the current insertion point.
On a closely related subject, if I insert a section break or a paragraph
break into an already-formatted section or paragraph, many of the settings
for the new paragraph or section revert to whatever the current style is.
In particular, every time I create a new section, I have to manually
recreate its headers and footers. This is counter-intuitive and very
irritating, especially in the absence of any kind of "define style from
selection" function. The expected, and IMHO correct, behavior is for new
paragraphs or sections to inherit all attributes from the paragraph or
section they have just been split off from.
