It's reverting to the unchangeable, built-in, Normal style. Which uses
Times New Roman.

Actually, AbiWord needs to let you change the Normal style, and the other
built-ins. There's a bug filed to that effect, by me, so if you search on
my email address it should show up. Then you can vote for it in the hope it
will get fixed.
