Subject: Vi mode broken?

Hi-
I know this has come up before, but I can't seem to get vi mode working
in abiword-0.7.14 (debian/ximian). I've added the following to my
Abiword.profile:
<Select
scheme="_custom_"
autosaveprefs="1"
useenvlocale="1"
/>
<Scheme
name="_custom_"
KeyBindings="vi"
KeyBindingsCycle="1"
/>
The status line says I'm in vi mode but the keybindings don't work.
What's interesting is that if I change the KeyBindings line to "emacs"
emacs cursor movement keys seem to work. I've never used the abiword Vi
mode so I don't know how it should behave. I've tried escape and "i" to
enter insert mode but I just get an "i". I've tried toggling F12 with no
luck... Is there something I'm missing?
