First, run "rpm -e abiword" as root to make sure you got rid of the
older one, since the abisuite package on the Redhat CD and the latest
abiword RPM from abisource have different package names. (i.e. an
update with "rpm -U abisuite..." doesn't remove the old one, "abiword".)

Then run this command (as root), and it should work fine:
    /usr/sbin/chkfontpath -q -a /usr/share/abisuite/fonts
(If it doesn't work, check that "/usr/share/abisuite" is right.)

Good luck!

I don't know what's up with Redhat 7.0, that mucking with the font
server is necessary. ("xset fp+ /usr/share/abisuite/fonts" still
fails for me on RH7.0, but it's OK because of xfs.) Very weird...
