Went to the AbiWord page: http://www.abisource.com/dl_linux_intel.phtml
and foudn the tgz info:
TGZ
This is the package format used by the Slackware distribution. Since none
of the developers are Slackware users, we have not tested this on a
Slackware machine. It does, however, install properly on other Linux
machines. If you have success with this binary, please let the development
mailing list know.
1.Download the distribution archive. (abisuite-0.7.12.i386.tgz).
2.Install using the Slackware package manager.
3.This will install AbiWord and supporting files to /usr/share/abisuite.
Symbolic links called AbiWord and abiword will be placed in /usr/bin to
point to the actual executable.
!!!!!!!
BUT THE FILE ( abisuite-0.7.12.i386.tgz ) IS NOT THERE!!! Please make it
available ASAP
!!!!!!!
